Accessory and cavitated uterine mass (ACUM)

25 yr female with history of dysmenorrhea and infertility.

Ultrasound findings

• Normal sized uterus.
• A rounded isoechoic lesion measuring 1.6 x 1.6 cm noted within the left lateral wall of uterus with central echogenic focus measuring 6 x 6 mm.
• No internal vascularity. No cystic areas.
• Features suggestive of accessory and cavitated uterine mass (ACUM).
